Now you know that you are important or that the Officials are taking the terrorist thing seriously. All day that the ship was docked, there were naval vessels patrolling the harbor around the ship. Just before we were to sail, a submarine sailed out and watched as we left.

Now for the booze section. We were lucky again to be upgraded to a balcony suite. Booze is very expensive on board in the bars or in the restaurant. A beer would cost 3.50 with a "for your convenience" 15 % tip added would therefore cost over $4.00. A G & T would cost $5.00 plus the 15 convenience tip or $5.75. We quickly found that you could order a Mickey of Gin with three tonic waters for only $15.00. This would last the two of us for 4 days ... Ahhh we can drink!

Remember, that Princess is paying duty free prices for alcohol so marking drinks up to city bar prices is robbery!!!! Note what is left of our duty free tranquilizer!

A reward for a hard day's reading ...

It was especially nice after a day on shore with a tour on busses that were designed and built by the Marquis de Sade

But, we are tough!!!

Having a balcony is really nice. Even with the heat, a short visit on the balcony gives a different perspective to the scenery.

Now this was neat. Because the water was so calm, the Captain decided to do some crew training. A dummy was dressed up like a man and tossed overboard with the appropriate yelling occurring. The ship immediately started to turn 360 so she would go back to the spot where the dummy was tossed

They then launched, or tried to, the rescue Zodiac with three aboard that would quickly get to the victim and rescue him

The boat hit the water and they could not get the main rope to untie...

So the boat swayed and banged along side for a while as the crew could be heard yelling nasty words at each other.

They finally got the boat released and went to look for the victim.

As the dummy hit the water, a flare went off to make finding the body easy. Unfortunately, so much time elapsed launching the boat that the flare ended, and they had to search by eye for the victim.

Eventually, they did find him, pulled him aboard, and roared back to the Mother Ship

Again some difficulties were encountered reattaching the boat to the Mother Ship

They kept at it

The Captain, the guy on the right, does not look happy. I rather think some crew members received quite a bollocking that night!!!!

Finally, hooked up and being brought back into the ship.

This is Elsie the day before we have to depart, trying to get all the stuff into two suitcases.

And trying ........

And yet still trying .... She did manage to close the cases eventually

Elsie, after hitting the hand cleaner dispenser, heads to our table for the last dinner. Yes, she is wearing shorts, but you have to get all your baggage in the hallway before dinner on the last day so shorts are OK.

We asked for a 8 person table

Poor Claudia got quite a ribbing

Both Michael and Hector were widowers who belong to the same lawn bowling club and do quite a bit of traveling together.

Arthur and Keiko were good sorts even though they both had hearing difficulties

Len was a major buyer delighting in picking up Rolex and Waterman pen knock offs. On flying to Mumbai, Len and Linda happened to fly Air France through Paris where all their luggage was lost. They did not see their clothes until Singapore 12 days later. It must have driven them NUTS!!!

The group got along very well and many conversations that solved all the problems of the world were held!!!

Claudia was from Chile and Roshan from India kept us from starving every night

Michael had a Birthday on board so Claudia presented him with a very rich chocolate cake!!! He wouldn't tell us how old he was!!!

Let the feeding begin!!!!

Because we left the ship to go to Angkor Wat, we missed the Lobster Night. When we returned it was Crab Night, but they managed to serve us both the Crab and the Lobster at the same time. Quite a lot of food ... but I managed !!!

I dream of meals like this!!!
